Let’s play Bingo!😃
This lesson provides the teacher with two activities: Listening practice and Vocabulary practice.
Activity 1: Listening practice
The students listen to the song and try to complete the missing words. You may help them by writing the keywords on the board, or you just let them try to get the words by themselves.
Activity 2: Bingo – Vocabulary practice
- Play bingo with words from the lyrics of the song.
- Cut and put the calling cards with the words in a bag or a box.
- Withdraw the calling cards from it and read them about out loud.
- Students must be able to find the synonym of the word you call and mark it on the board.
- The one or the group who completes the board first shouts BINGO!
It’s up to the teacher to reward the students with points, gifts, or in any fun way to keep the game more fun.
Also, it is important to mention that the game can be played before or after the listening activity, depending on the needs or the level of the class.
